SQB HISTORY

About Silver Cue Billiards

In 1963, Harold and Elizabeth Hursley revolutionized the billiards industry in Canada with the opening of the first New Way Billiard Lounge named 'Silver Cue Billiards' (Stoney Creek, Ontario).

They wanted to create a modern and welcoming space for billiards players, and so they invested in the finest tables on the market – 15 brand new Brunswick Gold Crowns.

Brunswick Canada would send technicians to the hall for regular maintenance, and felt replacement, and over time, Harold began to learn how to do these methods himself. He eventually started servicing other pool halls, Legions, and private homes with the help of his sons, Bryan and Glen.

Fast forward over five decades, and Glen and the rest of the family are still going strong in the billiards industry, known for their high standards and professional approach. They continue to provide top-quality service to clients all over Southern Ontario.
